UMR Health Care Transition Update
Effective 1/1/2024 the Sheet Metal #10 Benefit Fund will transition to UMR, utilizing the UnitedHealthcare Choice plus network for provider selection as a replacement to using BlueCross BlueShield.

16-Hour Class

Bluebeam will include use of the desktop application and iPad app functionality. The students will learn how to mark-up a PDF using the pen, highlighter, callouts, etc. inside Bluebeam.
They will learn visual searches, counts and use of the common measurement tools.

4-Day Class for Gas Piping Installation
This is the hands-on portion of the gas piping; we will work with copper, sweging and brazing. it will give you the skills in threading, flaring copper, and CSST pipe. We also do some code work.
16-hour class will include the Gastite and Wardflex training programs put on by the manufacturer's reps. These three brands of corrugated stainless steel tubing(CSST) are the most prevalent in this part of the country for flexible fuel gas piping systems. Will include hands-on installation of tubing with black pipe fittings on a furnace and a pressure test.

ADVANCED TIG WELDING & FINISHING
This class is open to all members wishing to learn how to weld Stainless Steel and Aluminum. It will also lead into finishing/ polishing stainless steel for kitchen equipment.

Power Limited Technician Upgrade Class
for PLT licensed members only
Don’t let your license expire! This class is for those who already have their Power Limited License. Sign up today!
Power Limited Technician Upgrade Class will be held on 1/21, 1/23, 1/28, 1/30 (T and TH) from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
You must attend all four days to renew your license. Jeff Steiner will be the instructor for this 16-hour class. Upon arriving at the Training Center, enter through Door #2 and go to Room 118.
