Vacation Fund Information

If you have questions about your vacation fund, please contact the financial institution that holds your funds (see contact information below)
Please note that the vacation money that is posted on your behalf will only contain hours that your employer has reported to the Sheet Metal Fund Office.  Your current pay-stub will rarely match your vacation account exactly due to multiple reasons, including but not limited to the timing of the vacation contribution made on your behalf.  Specifically, please be reminded that your contractor does not report the hours you worked in a given month until the 10th of the following month.

In addition, please note that the amount of vacation listed on your pay-stub is the taxable amount of vacation, however this total amount is generally not all designated as vacation funds.  A portion of this amount is for the Organizing Fund which is a program administered by the Local Union office.

Please refer to your specific collective bargaining agreement in your area for the amount of vacation that is actually deposited.  You may also note that the Sheet Metal Workers' Federal Credit Union also has a holiday account for Credit Union members which would cause a further division of your vacation money.
